Declarar el pantano de Relleu, Bien de Interés Cultural (BIC)
El pantano de Relleu, es una construcción arquitectónica levantada en el siglo XVII gestada por Felipe III y ordenado por Felipe IV. Su interés, importancia y relevancia histórica recae en la particularidad de su construcción, al ser una presa de arco de bóveda. Esto es, una presa con forma arqueada desde su base, sostenida sobre sus laterales a la ladera de la montaña, de manera que, la presión que ejerce el agua sobre la misma no hace sino que anclarla sobre la pared, creando así una pared inexpugnable ante la presión del agua. Esta es la particularidad y exclusividad del pantano de Relleu, una obra de ingeniería civil pionera en Europa en aquellos años que junto con el pantano de Elche y el de Tibi supusieron una revolución arquitectónica y modelo para posteriores construcciones.     
Esta propuesta está liderada por una serie de personas anónim@s, vecin@s del municipio de Relleu (Plataforma de Veïns de Relleu), que pretenden reivindicar una causa ya propuesta por diferentes colectivos sin que hasta ahora haya tenido transcendencia alguna. El grupo se conforma de personas sensibilizadas con la causa que, a través de diferentes iniciativas y proyectos, estamos difundiendo y en constante lucha reivindicativa un espacio y un monumento tan relevante que se encuentra en fase de abandono y olvido por parte de la administración.
Es por ello que, nuestra pretensión, es la recogida de firmas a través de esta plataforma para poder ejercer presión a las entidades correspondientes, gracias al respaldo de las numerosas personas que pretendan sumarse a esta iniciativa y que sin duda, estarán contribuyendo y apoyando una causa que pretende que se proteja, se catalogue y se ponga en valor este monumento a través de la figura de protección de Bien de Interés Cultural. Es una pieza clave del patrimonio hidráulico levantino y como tal a de estar protegido, catalogado y conservado.

  • Why the Relleu Swamp?
Relleu marsh, is an architectural construction built in the seventeenth century by Felipe III and ordered by Felipe IV. Its interest, importance and historical relevance falls in the particularitity of its construction, as it is a dome arch dam. That is, a dam with arched shape from its base, sustained on its sides to the mountain slopes, so that the pressure that exerts the water over it does not just anchor it on the wall, thus creating an unpugnable wall before the water pressure. This is the particularity and exclusivity of Relleu's swamp, a pioneering civil engineering work in Europe in those years that along with the marsh of Elche and the one of Tibi suppressed an architectural revolution and model for subsequent constructions.

  • · Who are we?
This proposal is led by a series of anonymous people, a vengeance of the municipality of Relleu (Platform de Veïns de Relleu), which intend to claim a cause already proposed by different groups without having so far had any transcendence. The group is made up of people sensitized with the cause that, through different initiatives and projects, we are diffusing and constantly defending a space and a so important monument that is in the phase of abandonment and forgetting by the administration.

  • · How are we going to do and why?
It is for this reason that, our claim, is the collection of signatures through this platform to be able to exert pressure on the corresponding entities, thanks to the support of the many people who intend to join this initiative and will undoubtedly contribute and support a The reason is that it is protected, this monument is cataloged and valued through the protection of Good of Cultural Interest. It is a key part of the elevated hydraulic heritage and as of being protected, cataloged and preserved.
